I've thought about starting a blog for a while, and decided tonight to go ahead and do it! Honestly, I love to write, I always have, and I DEFINITELY love to talk about my family and everything going on in our lives!
A little bit about me :
Guy and I started dating in January 2006, got married October 26, 2007, and since then have had two little girls : Mikinzi (2.5) and Madalyn (5.5 months), they keep us VERY busy, a good kind of busy! I've always wanted a big family, and someday we'll get there, for now, 2 is plenty ;-) I feel like our lives have been in fast forward the past 4 years, and I'm ready to just slow down and enjoy each other and our family.
Guy and I are both STILL in school, him for business, me for elementary education. We try to work it around our family and hectic schedules, which means we probably won't be done for a LONG time, but that's okay! We're not in a hurry.
I really enjoy staying home with my girls, and am thankful that I'm able to. Some days it's...difficult...being in a house with screaming kids, constant messes to clean, diapers to change, and meals to prepare, but I know a lot of moms who would love to be able to stay home with their kids instead of having to work, sometimes I forget how lucky I am!
I have a very big and very wonderful family, we have our ups and downs, good days and bad days, and sometimes things can be rough, but that's what family is all about, right?
I'm really excited about starting this blog. Life goes by so fast, and so many exciting things happen on a daily basis that I don't want to forget, so I feel like this a good way to document it...and if other people want to read it, that's great...if not, then I guess it'll just be my public diary! ;-)
Tomorrow is Halloween, one of my favorite holidays! In my mind it's all about fun, mystery, and imagination. A day where we can take off from who we are, and pretend to be whoever we want to be! SO...have a VERY happy and a VERY safe Halloween :-)
